The food is tasty, but it does not justify the prices in my opinion. The saganaki calamari was a bit odd, we did not enjoy that dish in particular. I enjoyed the atmosphere as it was not very noisy and the music was kept at a decent level for a restaurant.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time, as I had heard good things about it and was excited to try the food. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. My friends and I were seated at a table right by the entrance, very close to the reception, even though there were plenty of free tables further inside, toward the center of the restaurant. Not only was there a draft from the door, but the whole place felt quite cold. We ordered several dishes: • Focaccia and burrata - probably the best thing we had; • Tuna carpaccio – very disappointing, a tiny portion for 141 lei, even with some truffle shavings on top. Honestly, it felt insulting; • Duck breast; • Grilled octopus with roasted potatoes and padrón peppers; • Saganaki shrimp - served unpeeled; • Octopus pasta - extremely salty, not recommended; • Apple tart – decent, but nothing special. Overall, nothing really stood out, and the prices were absolutely unjustified. The cocktails were also underwhelming. As for the service, I was very disappointed. The staff didn’t pay much attention, they even vacuumed around our table between courses and then disappeared for long stretches, so at times we couldn’t even place additional orders. The live music also felt completely out of place – far too loud, creating an atmosphere more like a wedding hall than a fine dining restaurant. The chairs and overall decor added to that impression. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant. It feels overrated – at these prices, the food, service, and attention to detail should have been flawless, but that was not the case.

I had a wonderful experience at Akos. Everything was excellent, from the food to the atmosphere, but what truly stood out was the service. The staff was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel comfortable from the very beginning. It’s rare to find such a high level of hospitality combined with great quality overall. I would definitely recommend Akos and look forward to coming back again.

We went to this restaurant for a business meeting. What an incredible find! The restaurant is in a beautiful neighborhood. The service was great. The food matched the service. We ordered the grilled octopus and the fillet. Both were cooked to perfection. We ended with a Mille Feuille desert that was delicious. We also tried the chefs version of Tiramisu. I guarantee you have never experienced this kind of Tiramsu. It looked completely different but tasted like a Tiramisu. Since this we are not drinkers we did not sample the wine list but my glass was never close to empty the entire time we were there. We were staying at the JW Marriott downtown so this was about a 25 min drive. Pardon the pictures as we split the meal and did not think to take pics until after I had ruined the presentation. I also forgot to take a picture of the deserts and we made such short order of them that by the time I thought of the pictures the deserts were long gone and I was already sipping on my espresso. Since we did not order any alcohol we only spend a little over $70 per person. Overall I am glad we lucked into this restaurant and when we go back to visit Bucharest again we will definitely go back to Akos and try some of the other dishes.
