We enjoyed several dishes, but two stood out so much that they deserve their own applause: The Papanasi Probably the best papanasi in Bucharest. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, generously topped with a velvety cream and a rich berry sauce — absolutely heavenly! It’s the kind of dessert that makes the whole visit worth it. You simply must try it. 😍 The Mains & Appetizers We also tasted several comforting Romanian classics, beautifully plated and full of flavor: • Tender meat served over creamy mashed potatoes with sun-dried tomatoes — rich and satisfying • Crispy fries topped with cheese and a fried egg — simple but sooo good • A delicious schnitzel with melted cheese on top — indulgent comfort on a plate Everything felt homemade in the best possible way, using high-quality local ingredients. Drinks The cocktails were refreshing, fragrant, and well-balanced — the perfect start to a cozy dinner. 🍋🍹 Atmosphere & Service Warm, welcoming and relaxed — you can see people genuinely enjoying their time here. Quite possibly the best restaurant I’ve been to in my entire life. The food was incredible - as everyone is saying, the paparnasi is a must get, and the polenta with mushroom soup was so comforting and delicious. The staff was absolutely incredible, our waiter in particular was so lovely and offered us really good recommendations for what to do in Bucharest. There was even a restaurant cat! This place simply cannot be beat.

Where to start, we arrived on a Thursday night in December, we were in the "outdoors" area which has heating above the tables, so it wasn't cold by any means. The inside was packed full of locals which i find when travelling is always a good sign. For starters we had the pickles and borscht. The borscht was pure perfection in a bowl, absolutely fantastic I will have to come back just for that. We had the mutton and the duck for mains. The duck just fell of the bone it was so tender and beautiful to the touch, the mash was also incredible. The sauce with the mutton was equally fantastic and the mutton was cooked to perfection. The wait staff were excellent the prices were more than reasonable. If you are in Bucharest, this place is a must try.

So intimate and cozy! We loved the food, big portions, really kind service, and those warm, homey flavors inspired by Romanian traditional dishes. The place itself is so tastefully decorated it genuinely felt like being in someone’s home, especially with the cat sleeping right next to us on a chair. The only hiccup was a very lively child at the next table, but the staff handled it kindly and things calmed down pretty quickly.
