We recently visited Grand Café Van Gogh for brunch, and it was an experience worth sharing. At first, we didn’t think a reservation would be necessary, but we quickly learned otherwise. We ended up waiting exactly 20 minutes to be seated, with about 20 people ahead of us. Fortunately, the line moved fast, and the host at the front was incredibly personable and skilled at engaging with customers. My advice: make a reservation in advance and show up on time. The interior completely exceeded my expectations. Van Gogh’s artwork is displayed throughout the space, creating an immersive, gallery-like atmosphere that art lovers will absolutely adore. The building itself is impressively spacious, adding to the overall charm. We ordered the forest fruits tea, pancakes with forest fruits, and a fruit salad. The total came to around €50, which felt reasonable given the quality and the unique setting. The service was quick and efficient, and the food was absolutely delicious, flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to enjoy great food surrounded by stunning art.

After driving for almost 4 hours, this was the café our hotel recommended to us. For a moment, it honestly felt like sitting inside a small Van Gogh museum. I loved being able to enjoy a traditional donut and a latte while looking at so many artworks around me. The atmosphere was beautiful and memorable. Just keep in mind that the prices are a bit on the higher side 🙂

Really yummy food - that’s most important for me. We shared eggs Benedict and an omelette - I preferred the omelette with bacon and asparagus (yum). The vibe was nice, everyone kept their voices to a minimum (because it feels so fancy), so the classic music playing and the humdrum of fancy cafe culture was really pleasant. Petre was our waiter, his English was so good, everyone’s is pretty good but Petre was something else. He was very humorous without being a comedian, he was friendly and polite - I wish every waiter was like him. We’re very happy with our experience overall.

I came to Bucharest on a mini solo trip for my birthday. I had heard many positive reviews about this place and decided to celebrate my birthday there. And what a right decision it was 🥹 The interior, the food, the service — everything was top-notch!!! The staff are so welcoming and sweet, and the design feels like you’ve stepped into the world of the great Van Gogh. The pancakes were incredibly delicious. And when they found out it was my birthday, they created such an amazing atmosphere 🥹 It was unforgettable and so heartwarming. I highly recommend this place and I’m sharing photos from that day with you ✨

We had a delightful experience at Grand Café Van Gogh in Bucharest during our anniversary trip. The café has a charming and elegant atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a meal or coffee. The location is excellent, and it is a lovely place to take a break while exploring the city. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was smooth and professional. The menu offers a very good selection, and everything we ordered was fresh, well presented, and delicious. Grand Café Van Gogh was a wonderful stop during our celebration, and we would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience in Bucharest.
