Linea closer to the moon is as famous on Instagram as it gets, but for once, the place behind the posts actually delivers. In a city full of overhyped tourist traps and gimmicky igloos, this is the one that sets the real standard. The views from the top are genuinely top-tier, and Cec Palace looks absolutely magnificent from up there. We booked a day ahead, but I'd recommend securing your table several days in advance for peace of mind. The food exceeded expectations. We ordered the pork schnitzel and the salmon risotto, and both were amazing, well-seasoned, perfectly cooked, and easily the best meal we had in the area. Service was equally commendable. Those guys were running around non-stop in absolutely freezing weather, always smiling, always helpful. You could tell the conditions were brutal, and yet they never slowed down. They are genuinely the reason this whole operation runs so smoothly. The only real letdown? A group of six girls vaping inside our igloo. In such an enclosed space, that should be illegal. It completely pulled us out of an otherwise beautiful evening."

Overall, the restaurant is not bad, but under no circumstances should you visit the igloo during winter it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. At the reception we were told it would be warm inside, but in reality it was freezing cold. They clearly save on heating: the heaters kept turning off. Special mention goes to the waiter, who was constantly running back and forth and leaving the door wide open for long periods of time. As a result, our food got cold within literally 3 minutes, and we had to eat everything cold. Another unpleasant moment was the service policy. Our bill was over 400 lei, and considering all the discomfort, we planned to leave 5% tip. We were unpleasantly surprised when the waiter stated that 10% is the minimum tip. In any decent place, mandatory tips are clearly stated in advance not announced after the fact. The food itself was decent if only it hadn’t been served cold. Unfortunately, a birthday dinner turned into a disappointment. I definitely won’t be coming back. Hopefully, we won’t even get sick after this “warm” winter experience.

Βεβαίως — εδώ είναι η κριτική, σύντομη, καθαρή και to the point: ⸻ We visited the restaurant on a Saturday evening and had made a reservation in advance. Since it was last minute, there were no available tables on the terrace with the beautiful city view, so we were seated in the indoor area downstairs. The space there was nice, although it can’t really compare to the atmosphere and view of the rooftop (we went up later to take some photos and it’s definitely worth it). Service was quite fast and the food was tasty, with reasonable prices. Overall, we left with a very positive impression and would definitely come back the next time we’re in Bucharest — and we would recommend it to others as well. However, it’s worth noting that the terrace experience and the indoor experience feel quite different, so our review is based only on the downstairs area.
