We really enjoyed our experience here! If you’re looking for a place with good seating, views, and traditional food, come here. We fully embraced the experience and had an awesome time. The servers are kind, will explain things in english (or at least try to!) and the menu is also in English and Romanian. They have the story of the establishment in the menu, which we liked reading about. The seating is SO CUTE. They had indoor seating but who wants that? Pick outdoor! They had heating lamps and blankets and SO many adorable cats! Make sure to give the cats a little bite of your food if you can. The drinks were good, and we enjoyed trying the traditional food, which was very flavorful. Overall, we would be back!

Hanu’ lui Manuc is a charming and atmospheric place to experience traditional Romanian cuisine, especially if you enjoy historic settings with character and local flavor. The restaurant has a unique ambiance that reflects the cultural heritage of the area, making it an appealing spot for both tourists and locals who want an authentic dining experience. However, our visit started with a small disappointment. Despite having a reservation, we were redirected to a different table than expected, which felt a bit unprofessional and took away from the initial impression. Additionally, the Greek salad was quite underwhelming and did not live up to its name or typical flavor profile. On a more positive note, the main dishes were much more satisfying. The lamb stew was very well prepared, rich in flavor, and perfectly balanced in texture and seasoning. The Angus burger was another highlight — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right, making it a great option even if you’re not in the mood for traditional dishes. A special mention goes to our waiter, who was extremely helpful, attentive, and polite. His friendly attitude and willingness to assist significantly improved our overall experience and made us feel welcome despite the earlier inconvenience. MRS MARIA is best to make our dinner thank you to her In general, Hanu’ lui Manuc is a good choice if you want to explore Romanian cuisine in a historic and authentic environment. With some improvements in reservation handling and consistency in certain dishes, it has the potential to offer an even better dining experience.

The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You can really taste the care and attention that goes into the cooking — everything was perfectly prepared and exceeded our expectations. The service made the experience even better. Our waitress, Iulia Dorobantu, was incredibly lovely, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire meal. She made us feel welcome right away, checked in at just the right moments, and had such a positive, professional attitude. Her warm personality truly added to the atmosphere and made our visit extra enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience with fantastic food and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to others!

I was told that this is the best place to eat in the old town. The restaurant is huge, and you can see the personnel constantly passing by. As for the food, the Caesar salad was the worst salad I have ever tasted in my life. Lemon and fish were mixed with the ingredients of the Caesar salad, which completely ruined it. The lamb was tasty but served at room temperature — it should have been at least warm. I read the reviews to understand why the rating is so high, but I’m sorry to disappoint you — this place deserves a maximum of 3.

Had an amazing experience at Hanu’ lui Manuc 🤍 Everything about this place is just beautiful—from the historic charm of the building to the warm, lively atmosphere. It truly feels like stepping into a different time, right in the heart of the city. The food was absolutely delicious, full of rich flavors and perfectly cooked. You can really tell there’s attention to detail in every dish. The portions were generous, and everything we tried was spot on. The service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming without being overwhelming. It made the whole experience feel even more special. If you’re in Bucharest and want great food, great vibes, and a memorable dining experience, this place is a must-visit. Highly, highly recommended!
